Unusual pedal-powered stop-cylinder machine hand fed in similar fashion as hand platens, that is from the end of the feed-board instead of the side. Sheets are laid to guides (lays) mounted on the feed-board under the cylinder, Wharfedale-like. The printed sheet is delivered image up by action of the wooden fliers. The operator would have required great skill to not only pedal the press but be able to feed to either near or far lay.
