The machine is a stop-cylinder with the type bed retained in a vertical position. Both bed and impression cylinder reciprocate vertically in opposite directions, powered by a double crank arm and connecting rods. An impression 'throw-off' is not necessary as the cylinder will not turn on impression without a sheet placed correctly on the feed-table. The forme inking unit consists of two rollers and a reciprocating steel rider, secured in a frame below the impression cylinder and moving with it. The distributors are identical with the forme arrangement. A small ink table transfers and distributes ink from the ink fountain. The compactness of design, unique to these "upright cylinder's" and their versatility to run almost any kind of job work was enthusiastically endorsed by many in the trade. Features include: - outside feeder controls which can be adjusted whilst machine is running. - automatic back sheet jogger for positive front register on transfer table. - new type silent cylinder stop mounted on cylinder carriage, positively eliminating any back movement of cylinder. - Drop-back ink fountain blade for quick wash-ups.
The company appears to have ceased trading in the early 1960's.
